Established in 1978 as Foleshill Plating Company Limited, FP Advanced Coatings Limited began life as an electroplating company on Black Horse Road, in Exhall, just outside Coventry. Over four decades later, we own three electrophoretic coating (e-coat) lines, two powder coat lines, and on-site support processes.
Such processes enable us to coat metals (primarily steels and aluminium), in the form of pressings, laser-cut and formed components, castings, and welded fabrications, up to four metres in length.

Still based in Exhall, Coventry, the company moved to its current site on the Bayton Road Industrial Estate in 1980. Reflecting our move away from plating processes to focus on e-coating and powder coating, the company changed its name to FP Advanced Coatings Limited in 2017.
Despite a significant percentage of our services being dedicated to coating parts for the automotive sector, including luxury vehicle suppliers such as Aston Martin, McLaren and Bentley, our surface coating processes are extremely flexible. From small washers and fastenings, to domestic radiators and construction vehicle components, our lines can accommodate a wide range of parts – we have even coated bed frames for Birmingham’s Nightingale Hospital, early on in the pandemic.
